MYSURU: A Mysuru-based artist has created a unique Mysuru peta, which he plans to present to Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to the city.
Nandan has designed a red and gold Mysuru peta similar to what Mysuru king Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar used to wear. The headgear has been created using carefully chosen high quality silk, says Nandan.
The artist plans to present the traditional peta through Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha.
“As an artist, I’m happy that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Mysuru. So, I want to give him a special gift. A peta with red with gold border gives a royal look, so we chose this design”, says Nandan.
