Andhra police arrest Bengaluru businessman, family alleges kidnap

BENGALURU: A businessman was arrested from RR Nagar in the city by the Mydukur police of Kadapa district in Andhra Pradesh on the morning of August 30 from his Rajarajeshwari Nagar residence. The family members have alleged that he was ‘kidnapped’ due to the influence of Mydukur constituency MLA, Putta Sudhakar.

The family of businessman Raviprakash has lodged a kidnap case against three people, including Mydukur constituency MLA Putta Sudhakar, at the Rajarajeshwarinagar police station. Putta Sudhakar was former chairman of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).

The Mydukur police took Raviprakash away in connection with an attempt to murder case registered in Mydukur against five people, with Raviprakash being fifth accused in that case. His daughter Rupali Prakash claimed that the case has no relation to their family and alleged that her father’s name was intentionally added to harass them.

Raviprakash who owns 14 acres of land in RR Nagar and a land dispute was going on between Raviprakash and Putta Sudhakar in court. Last month, Putta Sudhakar had come near the land and created ruckus while forcibly trying to barge inside.

For this reason, an attempt is being made to threaten the family by filing false case, the daughter claimed. Raviprakash who is an influential BJP leader.
