Amit Shah’s health fluctuates, being monitored by doctors in Hubballi hotel

HUBBALLI: Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who arrived in Hubballi late on Friday for the inauguration of KLE Society’s Jagadguru Gangadhara Mahaswamigalu Moorusavirmath Medical College (JGMMMC), Hospital and Medical Research Centre, saw fluctuation in his health at Denissons Hotel where he was staying and was advised rest for a couple of hours.

A team of doctors, led by Dr Arun Pratap, was attending to Amit Shah at the hotel. He is likely to return to Delhi without participating in the KLE Society programme. Dharwad district deputy commissioner Mohammed Roshan, zilla panchayat CEO Bhuvanesh Patil, IGP Labhu Ram and senior officials rushed to the hotel.

KLE Society chairman Prabhakar Kore made an official announcement from the dais and said Amit Shah will not be participating in the programme due to fluctuation in his health condition. He also confirmed that doctors were attending to the minister at the hotel.

Shah arrived in Hubballi late on Friday as part of his two-day Karnataka visit. On Saturday, he was scheduled to inaugurate the new academic building of KLE JGMM Medical College and the 1,200-bed KLE Hospital and Medical Research Centre at Gabbur in Hubballi.
