Bus overturns near Mangaluru, passengers injured

MANGALURU: A private bus coming from Bengaluru overturned near Firangipete in Bantwal taluk on Friday, leaving some passengers seriously injured. The driver is believed to have dozed off, leading to the accident.

The bus first hit some trees and then rolled over to its side. While about 5-6 passengers were seriously injured, the rest sustained minor injuries. Locals rushed to rescue the bus passengers and shifted them to hospital.
