MANGALURU: A man died after an air compressor burst at a tyre resole shop near Gandhi Park in Uppinangady of Puttur taluk on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Rajesh Poojary (43), a resident of Alankaru village. He was working at the Indian Tyre Shop in the town. On Wednesday, an air compressor in the shop burst, leaving Rajesh seriously injured. Locals admitted him to a private hospital in Puttur, but he died.
A case has been registered at the Uppinangady police station, and the police have inspected the spot. Further investigation is under way.
