BENGALURU: After the police had filed a ‘B’ report in the CD case allegedly involving BJP leader and former minister Ramesh Jarkiholi, the current Congress dispensation may be looking to revive the case.

Advocate General Shashikiran Shetty is believed to have sought information from the special investigation team (SIT) on the status of the case in which the police have already filed a ‘B’ report. Sources said the possibilities of scrapping the ‘B’ report and resuming the investigation are being looked into.

The victim in the case had approached the high court questioning ‘B’ report filed by the police and the matter is expected to come up for hearing on December 15. The court is expected to look into the aspect of setting up the SIT and hence, the government is looking at reviving it. In this light, the AG held a meeting with the officials, the sources said.
