An accidental fire destroyed more than 150 bags of stored cotton besides damaging the house.

VIJAYAPURA: An accidental fire broke out at a farmhouse in Yalgod village in Devara Hipparagi taluk, destroying lakhs worth of cotton stored in the house.

The incident occurred at the farmhouse of Mohsinpatel Kanameshwar on Sunday evening when no one was at home. More than 150 sacks of harvested cotton apart from other valuables in the house were destroyed in the fire.

The family members had a tough time saving the livestock and luckily, there was no loss of life. The Fire and Emergency Services personnel managed to douse the fire, but not before much damage was done.
