BENGALURU: Aero India 2025 is just a month away, and preparations are on in full swing. The event will take place for five days from February 10 to 14 at the Yelahanka Air Force Station.
For this, the BBMP and Public Works Department (PWD) are working to upgrade the roads leading to the air force station at Yelahanka. The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) has also made arrangements to supply around 25 million liters of Cauvery water per day during the event.
“The air show requires 4 MLD to 5 MLD of Cauvery water every day. We are in a position to supply 25 MLD of water for the event through an exclusive pipeline and arrangements have been made to ensure an uninterrupted supply. In case of any disruptions, the BWSSB has also made arrangements to supply water through tankers”, board chairman Ram Prasath Manohar V said.
The Aero India air show show will feature various stalls and activities that will require water supply. The BWSSB is geared up to meet the demand, he said.
The state Chief Secretary has already held meetings with various agencies to review the preparations. Each agency has nominated a nodal officer to oversee the arrangements.
The BWSSB is fully prepared to provide water as needed during the event, and a meeting of officials has already been held to discuss the arrangements. BWSSB chairman Ram Prasath Manohar said, “We have enough Cauvery water and will supply it on demand. If we face any shortfall, we will make alternative arrangements”.
