BELAGAVI: Residents of Bagheeratha Colony in Gokak taluk caught two thieves, who were stealing pumpset cables, red-handed, tied them up and paraded them up to the police station.
For the past several days, there had been quite a few instances of cable theft. The villagers decided to lie in wait for the thieves and caught them red-handed.
The copper wires in the cables are highly priced and are regularly targeted by thieves.
