BENGALURU: The 7th Additional ACMM court in the city has issued a notice to IAS officer Rohini Sindhuri based on a criminal defamation case filed by IPS officer Roopa D Moudgil, seeking her response.
In her complaint, Roopa alleged that Rohini Sindhuri had given a statement to the media on February 19, 2023 and had posted defamatory statements on her X account. The post was seen by 1.8 lakh people and after her statement, she was transferred, Roopa claimed.
Further, Roopa said that for six months, she was not given a posting nor paid salary and due to Rohini’s statement, her husband, children and sister had suffered mental agony. Therefore, a criminal defamation case should be registered, she had prayed.
