DAVANAGERE: A couple died within minutes of each other at Devarahalli village in Channagiri taluk on Monday. The deceased are Kasturi Rangappa (65) and Jayamma (58).
Kasturi Rangappa had gone to a fair price shop to procure rations when he collapsed. He was immediately shifted to a hospital, but died enroute.
Some relatives called Jayamma and informed her about Rangappa’s death following which she too collapsed at died at home. Relatives performed the last rites of the couple later in the day.
