Bengaluru police arrest killer of former BBMP councillor

BENGALURU: The Bengaluru Police have arrested a man for allegedly killing former Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) councillor Ayub Khan outside his house in Bengaluru.

The accused, identified as Mateen Khan, was arrested from the Kengeri on the outskirts of Bengaluru, Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Lakshman Nimbargi said on Monday.

Former councillor Ayub Khan (48) was stabbed outside his residence in Tipu Nagar on July 13. He later succumbed to injuries during treatment at a hospital. (ANI)
