RAMANAGARA/CHANNAPATNA: Former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda indirectly expressed his anger against CP Yogeshwar, calling him a “converted Congress gentleman.”

Yogeshwar is the congress candidate from Channapattana by-poll constituencyHe is facing NDA candidate Nikhil Kumar Swamy”The converted Congress gentleman says Deve Gowda’s hands shake, and that he won’t come to campaign. I will come to campaign, and I’ll be here until the 11th,” he declared.

“My relationship with (Prime Minister Narendra) Modi is good and will remain good; it goes beyond politics. But the Congress leaders are engaging in vile actions. They have nothing else to talk about except my family. Someone might ask, ‘Deve Gowda, why did you field your grandson?’ We had told the converted Congress leader to either stand from BJP or JDS, but he betrayed us and the BJP. Now he’s the Congress candidate. That’s why local leaders must unite to field Nikhil and counter this conspiracy,” said the former Prime Minister.

“When he was with Congress, we told him, ‘You contest from JD(S).’ And even his party president Nadda asked him to contest from BJP. That converted Congress leader was told by Nadda not to betray the party and to contest as a BJP candidate. However, he even rejected Nadda’s words,” Deve Gowda remarked.

Speaking at a public gathering in J Byadarahalli, the former Prime Minister lashed out at CM Siddaramaiah, saying, “The Chief Minister’s arrogance must be broken.”Mocking the DK brothers as “unique brothers,” HD Deve Gowda sarcastically pointed out, “For the past six months, one has been saying, ‘I will… I will… contest in Channapatna.’ Where is he now? The unique brothers have now made a decision. I won’t say their names because if I do, they’ll mock me, saying HD Deve Gowda came on a ventilator to give a speech. But here I am, sitting before you, without a ventilator, and my hands aren’t shaking,” expressed the former Prime Minister in frustration. (ANI)
