CHIKKABALLAPUR: A car driver had a lucky escape after a speeding private bus rammed his vehicle from behind even as he was waiting at a toll booth at the Devanahalli toll plaza near Kannamangalapalya two days ago.
In CCTV footage available, the car can be seen stopped at a toll booth when a speeding bus, plying on the Sidlaghatta-Bengaluru route, rams it from behind and drags it for some distance. It is suspected that the bus suffered a brake failure.
The rear of the car was completely crushed in the incident. None of the bus passengers too were injured. The Airport traffic police have registered a case.
