Accident victim lies on road for an hour waiting for ambulance, dies

HASSAN: A motorcycle rider, who met with an accident, lay on the road for about an hour, battling for life, waiting for an ambulance to arrive. However, he died before he could be shifted to hospital.

Anand breathed his last by the time an ambulance arrived on the scene.

Anand (30) was heading from Belur towards Hassan when an unidentified vehicle knocked him down from behind near Kalkere village in Hassan taluk on Thursday night. He lay in a pool of blood for about an hour till an ambulance arrived, but had lost his life by then.

Locals, who had gathered at the accident spot, vented ire at the ambulance staff. The Hassan Rural police have registered a case and are on the lookout for the killer vehicle.
