Inspector suspended over rude behaviour with nodal and sector officer

BENGALURU: A police inspector was suspended by the District Election Officers for not attending training and displaying insolent behavior towards a nodal officer and sector officer, when they asked her to join training.

The suspended inspector Bhavya was attending a training camp about working in the polling booths during election, organised at Ambedkar University.

Inspector Bhavya, who was sitting reading the newspaper without attending the training. When the nodal officer and the sector officer questioned her, she gave rude answer saying that, “What I am doing is right, it is your job to train, it is our wish whether I should attend or not. I am not here to listen to you”. She also allegedly said the training was ‘useless’.

The inspector also challenged the election officials to complain with any officer. The officials compailined with the BBMP commissioner following which she was suspended under the Representation of the People Act.
