Gundlupet BJP MLA C S Niranjan Kumar had the face the ire of villagers during campaigning.

CHAMARAJANAGAR: Incumbent BJP MLA from Gundlupet, Niranjan Kumar, had to face some embarrassing moments at Hireekati village in the taluk on Monday evening.

During his visit to the village, some of them took the MLA to task over unkept promises. They said an Ambedkar Bhavan was not constructed and permission for mining was not given for Harijan, Girijana and Arebande workers’ associations and labourers have been duped they alleged.

After trying to give them a hearing for some time, the MLA walked away, prompting the villagers to raise slogans saying ‘Down with corrupt Niranjan Kumar”.
