BENGALURU: The elevated section of the Namma Metro Pink Line finally seems to be nearing its inauguration date and is expected to open by mid-October.
The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (BMRCL) has already received the ISI certificate and fitness certificate after inspection by an independent agency regarding safety of the elevated route and is expecting a nod from the Railway Board within a week.
The Pink Line Metro is finally nearing its opening. This will be a big relief for Bengaluru’s commuters.

The BMRCL is expected to submit necessary documents to the commissioner of metro rail safety (CMRS) and invite the CMRS for final stage safety inspection which will be conducted over two days.
In the initial stage, a total of six metro trains will operate on this route with trains operating every six minutes during peak hours. During the rest of the day, trains are expected to run at 10-minute intervals.
