HUBBALLI: A couple died in a horrific accident between a goods vehicle belonging to a packers and movers firm and a two-wheeler on the Hubballi-Gadag bypass road on Monday night. The deceased were identified as Rajani Tikala and Sukumara Tikala, residents of Jayarajanagar.
Rajani Tikala was working as a nurse at Shakuntala Hospital and was returning home after finishing work with her husband Sukumara the their motorcycle. A courier goods vehicle coming from opposite side collided with their two-wheeler, killing both on the spot due to the impact of collision.
On learning about accident, the East Traffic station police visited spot and have taken up further investigation.
