FIR against 7 after fake notes found in under-construction house near Ramanagara

RAMANAGARA: The Ijoor police have intensified investigation into fake currency printing case that was going on in an under-construction house in Ramanagara. In connection with incident, FIR has been registered against seven people at Ijoor police station.

The police have registered case against Sampath, Santhosh, Sathish, Rajesh, Renukaraj, Shivaraj and Govindaraj who were involved in this illegal racket. They have also inspected house of main accused in case, Sampath, of Mayaganahalli village, Ramanagara taluk.

Investigation revealed that Sampath was printing fake currency by luring house owner Santhosh including other accused with commission. Accused Sampath earlier was working in a car showroom. Later, he started his own coffee cafe and suffered loss and fell into deep debt. Unable to repay debt, he left town and went to Bengaluru where he came in contact with some persons and got into the fake currency making business, it is said.

Presently, the Ijoor police have taken main accused Sampath into custody and subjected him to intense interrogation, and investigation is continuing about others involved in the racket.
