DHARWAD: Three people died and three others were injured after the car they were travelling in crashed into a road divider near Venkatapur in Dharwad taluk on national highway in the early hours on Tuesday.
The deceased were identified as Vinayak (25), Manjunath (29) and Basavaraj (34) from Davangere while three others, Abhishek, Ajay and Basanagouda, have been seriously injured.
The car lost control and crashed into the divider and overturned while coming towards Dharwad after a meal at Mulla Dhaba. The bodies of three deceased were been taken to Dharwad district hospital autopsy, and the injured also admitted to district hospital and treatment being given.
It is said car was going from Belagavi towards Davanagere. Garag station PSI Praveen Gangol and staff visited spot. A case has been registered in this connection.
