BENGALURU: In a horrific road accident early on Wednesday in Electronics City, a two-wheeler rider died on the spot after a wheel of a truck ran over his head, crushing him. The deceased was identified as Babuji Miya (45), a native of Bihar.
Babuji was making a living doing masonry work. On Wednesday morning, he was going from Uttarahalli towards Sarjapur for work when the accident occurred near Electronics City NICE toll. Babuji was wearing a helmet, but his life could not be saved.
The truck and driver who ran over bike rider is absconding along with the vehicle. The body was shifted to St. John’s Hospital for autopsy. The Electronics City traffic police visited the spot and have registered a case. The police are on the lookout for the vehicle and the driver.
