BENGALURU: The second terminal of Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) is expected be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 11.
Health Minister Dr K Sudhakar shared glimpses of the new terminal on his Twitter account. He wrote, “Do have a look at the beautiful Terminal-2 of the Kempegowda International Airport set to be inaugurated by PM Sri @narendramodi on 11th November. Billed as the garden terminal, Terminal-2 has been designed and developed to showcase the ethos of Namma Bengaluru as a garden city.”
The new terminal is designed based on the ‘Garden City’ theme with wood and features small trees and local species of plants with attractive flooring. It has self-check-in counters and has advanced technologies.
A 108-foot-tall statue of Nadaprabhu Kempegowda is being installed and a theme park is being constructed near the Kempegowda International Airport and will soon be unveiled.
