UDUPI: Seven schoolchildren sustained injuries after their school bus overturned into a ditch at Kodangay near Parkala close to near Manipal in Udupi district on Friday morning.
The school bus belonging to Christ School, Manipal, was carrying children to school when the driver lost control and the bus rolled into a roadside ditch. In the accident, seven children in the bus sustained minor injuries, and one student suffered a head injury. The injured child was immediately admitted to the hospital and is receiving treatment.
Children who were standing on the other side of the road at the time of the accident escaped unhurt. Local residents and school staff rushed to help immediately. Manipal Police have obtained information about the incident and are conducting an investigation.
