BENGALURU: The city police seem to be keeping a hawk-eyed watch on social media posts of youths linked to Hindu organisation and are also reportedly questioning them about such posts.
The police have also issued a notice to Bajrang Dal leader Govardhan, a Bannerghatta resident, who had posted about the school uniform controversy and a non-cognisable report (NCR) has been filed against him.
The Primary Education Minister had recently said legal action would be taken if students came to school wearing saffron shawls. Govardhan posted that Hindu society accepts such a challenge, and that schools and colleges would be welcomed with saffron shawls when they reopen.
The police had directed Govardhan to visit the station, claiming his post would create communal riots and unrest. Hindu organizations now outraged against the police action.
