BENGALURU: A shortage of petrol and diesel is apparent in the city due to delays in fuel supply and international crises. Due of this, the supply of additional quantities of petrol and diesel to bunks has been halted.

Fears of disruption in petrol and diesel supply have started in Bengaluru as there is reportedly no fuel stock coming in at the Devanagundi fuel supply depot itself. As a result, additional supply to petrol bunks has been stopped. There are delays in filling tankers with petrol and diesel at the depot, and tankers are reaching petrol bunks late to unload. This is also affecting business.

Even bunks with increased customer numbers are not getting additional petrol and diesel despite requests. Supply is being made only in the same quantity as earlier. Even after paying money in advance for purchases, supply is not meeting demand.

Bunk owners without their own tankers are facing more problems. Fuel stocks have run out at HP and Bharat Petroleum bunks and petroleum tanker drivers say this is causing supply delays. If stocks reduce further, a situation may arise in the coming days where people have to struggle for petrol and diesel at bunks too.
