KOLAR: A history-sheeter, who had been externed from the district, was arrested in a cinematic manner for extorting and threatening traders to collect ‘hafta’. Police barged into a church while he was offering prayers and took the accused into custody.
The arrested accused is Stanley, a rowdy from KGF in Kolar district. Acting on information, police who were searching for him took him away from the Susai Palya Church in KGF where he was praying.
Recently, rowdy Stanley had threatened a pandal shop owner named Mohammed Saqlain and had also threatened him to provide pandal and decoration for his daughter’s wedding while collecting hafta. Following this, the accused Stanley was arrested in a cinematic manner.
Although some women present there tried to obstruct, a video of the police arresting and dragging away the accused has gone viral. The externed rowdy was recently booked in Andersonpet police station limits over hafta collection. Accordingly, on the instructions of KGF SP Shivanshu Rajput, police officers arrested and took him away.
