KALABURAGI: A violent clash broke out between two groups due to an old rivalry near Khadeer Chowk in Kalaburagi city, where one group fired an air gun and assaulted the other with lethal weapons.
The fight occurred between Aslam Patel alias Bombay Aslam’s group and Nausheed Patel’s group. The attack took place while Nausheed Patel was having tea with his friends. A group of six people — Aslam Patel alias Bombay Aslam, Chilu, Langade Saddam, Sikandar, Maari, and Rehan — carried out the assault.
Bombay Aslam shot Syed Jilani twice in the stomach area with an air gun, and the group attacked him mercilessly with lethal weapons and sticks. Nausheed Patel and Syed Jilani sustained serious injuries in the incident and have been admitted to a private hospital for treatment.
A case has been registered at RG Nagar police station regarding the incident.
