BENGALURU: A woman who filed a complaint with the Lokayukta about encroachment of rajakaluve and illegal banners in HAL area was in for a major shock. After the illegal banners were removed, derogatory banners targetting her were put up across Basavanagar near HAL.
The complainant, Satyavani, had approached the Lokayukta over encroachment of rajakaluve and unauthorised banners in the area. Angered by this, unidentified miscreants put up new banners and posters late at night in the same locality. The banners used derogatory language about complainant Satyavani.
The act of the accused putting up the banners was captured on CCTV, and the woman has filed a complaint at HAL police station regarding the incident. Initially, the police registered a non-cognizable report, but following court directions, they registered an FIR.
