CHIKKAMAGALUR: A fake IAS officer has been arrested by Bengaluru’ Uttarahalli police. The arrested accused is Mithun, a native of Kadur taluk. He created fake documents and was impersonating a National Health Mission (NHM) officer.
Mithun is accused of cheating people of to the tune of lakhs of rupees in the name of medical supply. In the guise of an IAS officer, he has cheated several people of more than Rs 2 crore. The fake IAS officer was caught during a brawl at a lodge in Bengaluru.
The police have now launched a search for those who helped in creating the fake documents. The fake officer Mithun had even held meetings with doctors and nurses in Chikkamagaluru. Mithun hails from Kadur taluk in Chikkamagaluru district.
