BENGALURU: A drunk man who took a vehicle for a test drive, crashed into four vehicles and left one person with a broken leg. Following the accident, locals beat him up and an FIR has been registered against the driver.
The Mahindra showroom staff located in Vigneshwara Nagar, Mahadevapura had given a car to a person named Abhilash for a test driver on April 12. Abhilash had gone to the showroom drunk to take a test drive. The staff committed a blunder by giving a test drive vehicle to a drunk person.
During the test drive, Abhilash damaged four vehicles as he drove the vehicle recklessly. Not just that, he hit a person, identified as Shubham Ramesh Ghatapani, with such force that Ramesh suffered a leg fracture. Ramesh is undergoing treatment at a private hospital.
An FIR has currently been registered at the Mahadevapura traffic police station. Following the accident he caused, locals thrashed Abhilash who is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital. Mahadevapura Traffic Police have issued a notice to Abhilash and a case has been registered under the IMV Act and BNS sections 125(B), 281.
The Mahindra car showroom is in the jurisdiction of Mahadevapura traffic police station.
