BENGALURU: A young woman was sexually harassed by her alleged friend, Navin Kumar, who met her on Instagram, for rejecting his proposal in Ullal Main Road’s on Jnanajyotinagar. He allegedly forced her into a relationship and harassed her when she refused.
On September 22, Naveen Kumar approached the woman on the road, touched her inappropriately and ripped her clothes. She screamed for help, but he didn’t stop.
The woman had changed PGs multiple times in six months due to Naveen’s harassment. She had even quit her telecaller job because of his harassment.

A complaint was filed by the young woman at the Jnanabharati police station and the accused was arrested. Investigation is under way to determine the nature of their relationship and if there were any financial transactions involved.
