A farmer came across a tiger and its cub in the open field on Tuesday.

CHAMARAJANAGAR: Amid the ongoing operation to capture a tigress and four of her cubs, a fresh sighting of a tigress and a cub was reported in a field between Bheemanabeedu and Honnegowdanahalli villages.

The sighting has sparked panic among farmers. A farmer, Shashidhar, encountered the tigers on Tuesday, adding to the growing concern. This follows a drone capture of a tiger in the area three days ago.

Farmers are demanding the authorities act swiftly to capture the tigers, but the Forest department has cited a lack of drones, equipment veterinarians for the task.

Meanwhile, tourists on a safari at Kyathadevara Gudi in Biligiriranga Hills tiger reserve recently spotted a majestic tiger. The big cat, a regular visitor for the past 10 days, delighted tourists visiting the K Gudi safari area. The sighting has thrilled wildlife enthusiasts.
