BENGALURU: People are crazy about social media reels and are taking various risks to get likes and comments and to increase their follower count. Some have gone beyond and taken the wrong path by posting objectionable posts.

Following a complaint, Bengaluru police have registered cases against some of those account users and are taking action. The use of social media has increased from children to aged people in recent days. People are so dependent on it that they say it’s okay if they don’t have food, but they must have network on their mobile.

Meanwhile, many are doing various stunts in the name of content creation to get likes, follows and comments. Some have crossed the line and are resorting to obscenity, getting themselves into trouble.

Recently, many young people are posting adult video clips or photos to increase their social media followers, encouraging others to follow their accounts if they want the full video by sending links. This is causing discomfort to others on social media. Due to this, a Bengaluru resident, Sriharsha, has complained to the Bengaluru Cyber Crime Police and sought action.

Based on his complaint, the Cyber Crime Police have registered FIRs against a total of 28 accounts and are monitoring their posts. They have also collected the posts made on those accounts and are working to identify the content creators.
