BENGALURU: Prominent businessman and investor Mohandas Pai has once again criticised the Karnataka government’s policy of freebies, stating that it has hindered the state’s development and led to a significant economic disparity between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
Pai took to social media to express his views, saying that the freebies have resulted in increased corruption, a lack of capital expenditure, and a huge debt burden. He also pointed out that the state’s revenue deficit has widened, and the lack of job opportunities has exacerbated the situation.
