BENGALURU: The State Women’s Commission has intervened in the Dharmasthala case, expressing dissatisfaction with the SIT’s functioning. The commission has written to the SIT chief, stating that it has not been investigating cases related to women comprehensively.

The Commission has asked the SIT to investigate the reasons behind the deaths, identify the skeletal remains and determine how they ended up in the forest area. The SIT should also probe cases of missing women and girls, rape, murder, and other unnatural, suspicious deaths, it said.
The Commission has requested the SIT to conduct a comprehensive investigation into these cases and provide information about the progress made.
