BENGALURU: Lawyer Sowjanya, Dr Krutika Reddy’s mother, has made serious allegations that Dr Mahendra Reddy had been plotting to murder her daughter since October last year.
Addressing a press conference on Sunday, she said that Mahendra Reddy had behaved without raising the slightest suspicion since the day of their marriage. He had been planning to kill her daughter since October 2024, she claimed.
“Our daughter used to come home often. My son-in-law used to say that he was on night duty. He had been trying to kill her without our knowledge for a long time. He said that he had given treatment to our daughter at his house on April 21”, Sowjanya alleged.
“He brought her to our house on April 22. He had IV drips on her when he came home. Later on April 23, I had dinner with my daughter. Then he went to the room at 9.30 pm. The next morning at 7.30 am, the son-in-law screamed from the room. He explained that she died when he took her from home to the hospital”, she said.
Mahendra Reddy, a surgeon, insisted that he should see the postmortem process. But the murder plan was revealed after the forensic report was received by the police.
