Nirmala Sitharaman visits Krishna, Mookambika temples

UDUPI: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman visited the famour Goddess Mookambika temple at Kollur in Baindoor taluk on Saturday. She was accompanied by Union Minister of State for Agriculture, Shobha Karandlaje.

Nirmala was accorded a traditional ‘Poorna Kumbha’ welcome and special poojas were also conducted.

Earlier in the day, she visited the Sri Krishna temple in Udupi. She also visited the Paryaya Krishnapura mutt seer, Vidyasagara Theertha Swami, and sought his blessings.

The Union finance minister, who is on a visit to the state, will participate in various events through the day.
