BALLARI: With the tourist influx increasing at Hampi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the police have ramped up security at the major temples and other vital installations.
The canine and bomb disposal squads have been conducting sweeps fo the Virupaksha temple, the Vijaya Vitthala temple, mantaps, other temples and even the power station.
Hampi draws thousands of tourists, both domestic and foreign, for most parts of the year.
