BENGALURU: Eight professors from Bangalore University have secured a place in the prestigious list of the top 2 per cent of scientists worldwide for the year 2024. This recognition is based on the citation index and is compiled annually by Stanford University, USA, and Elsevier Publishing, Netherlands.
The professors who have been honoured belong to the departments of Chemistry, Physics, Microbiology, and Mathematics at Bangalore University. They include Chandrashekarayya D S, Devi L Gomathi, Rudrayya N, Shivakumar, C Srinivas, Kumbinarasayya S, Eerayya B and Vishnu Kamath. Among state universities, Bangalore University has the highest number of professors from state universities featured on this list, once again earning international acclaim.
