7 booked for dowloading, sharing child porn; police on look out for them

VIJAYAPURA: The National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) has registered cases against seven individuals for downloading and sharing child porn. The action was initiated after a tip-off from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), a non-profit organisation based in Virginia, USA.

The individuals against whom cases have been booked are said to be children of high-profile people and the NCRB has transferred the case to the Corps of Detectives (CoD) in Bengaluru. The CoD is coordinating with the CEN police and are on the lookout for the seven persons.

Meanwhile, in Pune, Maharashtra, cases have been registered against 552 individuals for downloading child porn and circulating it. The NCRB is keeping an eagle’s eye on those downloading child porn and sharing it on various platforms.
