KALABURAGI: Over six passengers were burnt to death after a private bus collided head-on with a good vehicle and caught fire on the outskirts of Kamalapura in Kalaburagi district early today morning.
The bus, belonging to Orange Tours and Travels, was on its way to Hyderabad from Goa when the collision occurred on the Bidar-Srirangapatna highway. There were 29 passengers in the bus and 22 have been shifted to hospital for treatment.
Two fire tenders were rushed put out the blaze. The bus, which rolled over into an adjacent field, was completely charred. A tow truck was used to haul up the mangled remains.
