BENGALURU: Ration card-cholders, who have not got their e-KYC done so far, have time only till November 10 to do so. If not, their ration cards stand to be cancelled. Across the state, over 41 lakh ration card-holders have not got the e-KYC done.

The Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs has instructed that pending ration card holders must get e-KYC done without fail within last date. Out of 2,67,64,276 beneficiaries in the state who had to get re-e-KYC done, till November 3, 2,26,30,747 beneficiaries have got e-KYC done. Still, 41, 33, 529 beneficiaries have to get the e-KYC done.

Already, the deadline has been extended once. After November 10, the date will not be extended and hence, all remaining beneficiaries must compulsorily get the e-KYC done within November 10 either personally through ‘Anna Seve’ mobile application or at fair price shops through ‘Ahara’ software. Otherwise, further action will be taken as per rules, department has warned.

If the e-KYC is done within November 10, Annabhagya rice will be available to the PDS beneficiaries, otherwise there is a possibility of them being deprived of Annabhagya facility, the department has warned.
