Rs 100 crore cash seized in 10 days

BENGALURU: Soon after the announcement of Model Code of Conduct, the police have set up checkposts at major locations to check the movement of undocumented cash, gold, silver items and even drugs.

In just 10 days, the police and flying squads have seized unaccounted cash to the tune of Rs 100 crore apart from Rs 50 crore worth gold, silver materials, ornaments.

Over 500 FIRs have been registered in different police stations across the state and a few cases booked against some MLAs.
