MANDYA: At least 20 people were injured, five of them seriously, after a KSRTC bus crashed into a tree near Kundahalli in KR Pet on Thursday. The bus was on its way from Alenahalli to KR Pet when the driver lost control.
Among the injured were mostly school and college students. Five of the passengers sustained serious injuries. The police said that all the injured have been admitted to a hospital and are undergoing treatment. Some of them were shifted to Mysuru for treatment.
“Five passengers were seriously injured in the accident. All the injured were shifted to hospitals for treatment”, according to Mandya Superintendent of Police Mallikarjun Baladandi. The accident occurred under KR Pet Rural police station limits.
