BIDAR: Two lorry drivers lost their lives in a ghastly road accident that occurred near Ambesangavi Cross in Bhalki taluk in the district on Sunday.
The deceased were identified as Vijayakumar (40), a lorry driver, and Ramkishan (32), a container truck driver. Two others, who were injured, were shifted to hospital where their condition is said to be critical.
The speeding lorry, carrying tiles loaded in Gujarat, was coming from Bidar. It collided head-on with the container and is being alleged that the accident happened due to the negligence of the driver.
The Bhalki Rural police, who visited the spot, have registered a case.
