HASSAN: Two people were arrested for killing an Indian gaur and consuming its meat, at Hosur estate in Sakleshpur taluk. About 10 kg of meat was also seized by the Forest Department.
Acting on specific information that a gaur had been shot and killed near Hosur estate, Range Forest Officer Shilpa and team conducted a raid and seized the meat. They also arrested Umesh and Ravi who work in the estate while Madhu, Akash, Azeez, Somanna and Ikkeel have also been booked.
