BENGALURU: A 12-year-old girl died after she fell from the 29th floor of an apartment building near Begur in Hulimavu police limits early on Tuesday morning. However, the motive for the act, believed to be suicide, was not known.
The girl was studying in Class 6 at a private school. Her father is a software engineer while the mother is a homemaker. According to the mother, the girl woke up around 4.30 am and when she questioned the child, she gave some evasive reply and returned to her room.
Half an hour later, the girl went up to the 29th floor and jumped to death. A security guard, who heard some noise, saw the body and immediately informed the parents and the residents’ association.
The Hulimavu police have registered a case and are investigating.
