BENGALURU: A youth on a motorcycle, who had breached the convoy of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh during his recent visit to the city, was stopped by the police, but left a constable injured. A major scuffle ensued on that day.
On February 9, the Defence Minister’s convoy was heading towards Anil Kumble Circle around 1.50 pm when a bike suddenly appeared, despite police security, and attempted to overtake the convoy. A constable was injured while trying to prevent him from breaching the convoy.
Luckily, the Defence Minister’s vehicle had already moved ahead, avoiding a potential accident. The accused, identified as Ahmed Dilwar Hussein, was arrested by the Cubbon Park police station and is currently in police custody.
An investigation is under way to establish the motives behind the incident.
