Youth stabbed to death in Chikkaballapur

CHIKKABALLAPUR: A youth was brutally murdered over his relationship with a girl at Harobande village on Saturday night. The deceased has been identified as Nandan, and the murderers were identified as Darshan and his friend Ashray.

Nandan, a first-year B.com student at the Government First Grade College in Chikkaballapur, was also a part-time worker at Shell Apparels Pvt Ltd and was in a relationship with Darshan’s sister. As soon as the girl’s family learned about the relationship, they warned Nandan against it. The brother too had previously warned him many times to stay away from his sister. But Nandan and the girl continued to be in touch through different apps.

On Saturday, Darshan and his friend Ashray went to Nandan’s workplace to seek help. All three then went on bikes to a nearby hill after buying alcohol. After consuming alcohol, they got into an argument over Nandan’s continued relationship with Darshan’s sister. When he looked into Nandan’s phone, Darshan discovered his sister’s edited nude photo. This sparked an argument, and they then began to attack him and killed him by stabbing him 69 times.

Chikkaballapur Rural police arrested the duo.

The two were arrested by Chikkaballapur Rural police and further investigation is under way.
